SciKeys organized a technical lecture series titled “From a Dreamy Idea to a Real Product.” The series ran from Saturday, June 20, 2026, to Sunday, June 28, 2026, and featured five comprehensive lectures, each lasting two hours.
The series targeted university students in their final years, graduates, and young Syrians both inside and outside Syria, particularly those interested in technology, entrepreneurship, and project development. The lectures witnessed active participation from youth with diverse academic backgrounds and professional disciplines.

About the Series: “From an Idea to a Real Product”
The series aimed to equip participants with the practical knowledge required to transform ideas into viable products and executable projects, through five interconnected lectures that integrated engineering, entrepreneurial, and commercial aspects.
The sessions were delivered by experts with extensive academic and industrial experience in entrepreneurship, consulting, systems engineering, mechanical design, and hardware/software development. Their expertise spans research and development (R&D), digital transformation, robotics, product development, and hands-on experience in leading European companies and research centers.
- The series commenced with a lecture on Entrepreneurship and the Market, highlighting the difference between founding a startup and working as an employee. It explored the essential skills required for founders and the methodologies for converting an idea into a practical solution that meets market demands.
- The second lecture focused on Systems Engineering and Requirements Management. It covered analyzing user needs and translating them into clear requirements, writing and tracking specifications throughout the design and implementation phases, and utilizing testing to ensure product quality and integration.
- The third lecture delved into Mechanical Design and Product Development Stages, starting from understanding applied forces and design constraints, moving to 3D modeling using CAD software, and concluding with digital simulations and selecting appropriate manufacturing methods.
- The fourth lecture addressed Electrical Design and Programming, outlining the methodology for developing engineering projects and seamlessly integrating hardware and software into a unified product. It emphasized R&D and the bridge between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
- The series concluded with a lecture on Go-to-Market Strategy and Funding, which discussed designing business models and strategies, launching the product, achieving early-stage growth, attracting investors, and scaling technical ideas into expandable businesses.
Each lecture included a dedicated Q&A and open discussion segment, allowing participants to raise inquiries, present their project challenges, and explore potential solutions with the experts. The audience’s questions, along with their diverse backgrounds and experiences, significantly enriched the sessions, turning them into an interactive space for exchanging ideas and practical expertise.
